WHAT IS MY COACH APPROACH? ________________________________________ I will help, coach, support & guide you through all the steps necessary to help your child understand how to use the potty and master this new milestone - the very important life skill of toileting! As a professional nanny and a child caregiver for over 39+ years, I have learned to love and care for babies and nurture the growth and development of newborns, infants, and toddlers. I have always had the gift of empathy and being able to see things through the eyes of a child. _______________________________________ I’m blessed with the innate ability to emotionally put myself in their “shoes” and relate to the child on their level. I genuinely feel & understand their perspective, and I personally experience their precious point of view. After spending so much quality one-on-one time with toddlers and enjoying this process for so many years (decades!) I have learned the ability to think like a toddler. What goes on in their mind. What their fears are, their joys, and their wonderment when exploring and discovering new things, as well as their fears & hesitation to try new things. I’ve learned to see why they do the things they do and why they think the way they think. My approach is gentle, non-aggressive, yet persuasive. I’ve been called “The Baby Whisperer” my entire life, even as a young teen babysitter back in the 1970’s. To this day, I still regard that as the highest compliment. ________________________________________ I take my work with children very seriously because I know the impact an adult can have on them and their impressionable minds. They rely on us, they depend on us, and they trust us to guide them and teach them. As adults - being their role models, we teach them things without even trying to - sometimes without even knowing we’re doing so! Toddlers are smart and sensitive little beings - they pick up on things we may not necessarily want them to. This is how I have modeled my approach to helping thousands of toddlers learn the very important life skill of toileting! My potty training approach is exactly that - it is training & conditioning. A child needs to be taught and trained. Because toileting is not innate. It isn’t automatic. We're not "born with it"! Toddlers need our guidance, support, and a lot of cheering on! They need coaching! _______________________________________ My coaching approach is simply that! Cheering them on with praise, rewards, and positive reinforcement! I help coach and guide you through all the steps necessary for you to help your toddler understand how to use the potty. My approach is gentle, non-aggressive, yet persuasive. I allow the process to happen in their time and on their terms. I always recommend encouraging your child with positive reinforcement and praise! No scolding, no yelling, no punishments. We want to help our toddlers by building positive associations with toileting. Your time is very valuable. We can make it quick, or we can take all the time you need depending on which plan you choose. ________________________________________ I will follow your lead, and we will go at YOUR pace during your potty training consultation appointment! I never book back-to-back appointments so you’ll never feel rushed. Most of my toddler potty training mommies opt to have their consultation appointment while the little ones are napping or after they are in bed for the night. So you can relax, avoid distractions, take notes, and really focus on our conversation and ask questions. Schedule your consultation appointment for the middle of the day while you sip on a cup o’ tea for a mid-day coffee break caffeine pick-me-up. Or relax and unwind at the end of the day with a glass of wine in the evening after the house is quiet, and everyone is tucked in bed for the night. HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE? ______________________________________ It’s entirely up to you. It all depends on how much time and commitment you’re willing to put into potty training your child. All of my clients are completely satisfied and very motivated and excited after we finish our first conversation, and they report back to me within 24 hours that they immediately began to see results and progress within the first day! I’ve only had one client come back after a month seeking additional support with potty training due to some medical issues. _______________________________________ So to answer the question: Most Mamas are well on their way to being done with potty training within a week! Some are seeing immediate success right after we hang up the phone! How long this process takes is absolutely 100% up to you. It all depends on how much time and commitment you’re willing to put into it. How much time you are able to dedicate to your toddler’s potty training program. It’s best to kick off potty training when you have a few days in a row at home with your child. Like a 3-day weekend, spring break, holiday break, summer vacation, etc. ______________________________________ I’m here to help you and coach you along the way. I’ll be there to cheer you on and help you manage your time! But ultimately, the ball is in your court! It’s up to you, your schedule, and your willingness to follow through. Every family is different. Every child is different. They all learn in their own time.
